About the Fall Major Productions
Each year, the School of the Arts is pleased to present our Fall Major Production. The tradition of theatrical performances stretches back over decades of McMaster History thrilling audiences with traditional and new and exciting forms of theatrical production. Today our theatre program calls the Lyons Family Studio, located in the L.R. Wilson Hall, home. Four black walls, flexible lighting and sophisticated audio/visual technology enable our directors, producers, actors, and instructors to put on theatrical performances like you’ve never seen before.

Described as a “fungal tapestry of dance, music and story,” Nothing Remains the Same was directed by SOTA professor Peter Cockett and devised in collaboration with iArts and Theatre and Film students, is an exploration of the climate crisis through song, dance, puppetry, story and movement.

A new adaptation of Guillen De Castros Y Bellvis’ classical Spanish comedy. Directed by Peter Cockett and performed in McMaster’s Black Box Theatre, this School of the Arts’ mainstage production is a new English adaptation of the 17th-century Spanish original that draws on the rich textual evidence of trans histories, gender fluidity, and queer possibility.
