McMaster Musical Theatre visits Music 2TT3

Earlier this semester, members of McMaster Musical Theatre (MMT), the student-run club that has been staging musicals on campus since 1983, performed scenes from the hit musical Mamma Mia! for students in Dr. Lara Housez’s MUSIC 2TT3 class, “Broadway and the Popular Song”. For the fourth year, Dr. Housez built MMT’s chosen musical into her course curriculum and invited the club to perform for her students as part of a “sneak peek” of the show. Then her students attended one of MMT’s full productions and participated in a “talk-back” with members of the cast, crew, and production team. Their experience culminated with a written assignment and reflection. Students in Music 2TT3 were amazed by their talented peers. For some, attending the performance was their first experience watching a live musical. Check out a video of MMT’s sneak peek and talkback with Music 2TT3 here: MMT&SOTA
