McMaster Chamber Orchestra: Solos & Symphonies

Sunday, March 15th @ 2 pm

L.R. Wilson Concert Hall

Adults $10 | Students $5 | Children under 12 free

To celebrate our aspiring virtuosos, the MCO’s upcoming concert—Solos & Symphonies—features multiple soloists from within the ranks of the orchestra.

In the first half, works by Grøndahl, Sibelius, Mozart, Dvořák and Bach highlight students specializing on the trombone, English horn, harp, flute, violin and cello.

The second half of the concert will be rounded out with music by Schubert, played by the McMaster String Quartet, and Haydn’s charming Symphony No. 93.

We are also delighted to welcome special guest star Lizuarte De Sousa playing the soprano sax in a new work by the MCO’s very own conductor, Matthew Woolhouse.  Lizuarte is a graduate of the Music program here at McMaster! So please join us on 15th March for what promises to be a tremendous display of virtuosic talent within the wonderful setting of the L.R. Wilson Concert Hall.
