Rajan Fulari, Printmaker/Painter
Artist-in-Residence Rajan Fulari, will be on campus between March 10th and 23rd. Fulari, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Lucknow University (India), is presenting a Visiting Artist Lecture on Thursday, March 15th at 11am in the Fitzhenry Studio’s new space.
Fulari’s reputation in painting and printmaking is global. His works — both solo and group — have been exhibited in national and international exhibitions, at numerous galleries and museums throughout Europe and India, and housed in several private and public collections. He has curated and coordinated numerous projects in India and abroad, and assisted in arts camps and workshops throughout his country.
Included among Fulari’s prestigious awards are: the Government of Goa’s Yuva Surjana Puraskar honour, a National Scholarship & Junior Fellowship from the government of India, the National Award from Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi, and the AIFACS (All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society) Award, New Delhi.
As an active printmaker, Fulari coordinates and promotes print portfolios with numerous groups and galleries throughout the world.
