Hamilton: A View From Here

This exhibition features paintings, and a collaborative felted map that have been inspired by the City of Hamilton.

Students in ART 2ER3 (Environmentally Responsible Art) travelled downtown to the Stelco Tower for a bird’s eye view of the city, bay and surrounding natural areas for on-site work. ART 3PD3 (New Directions in Painting and Drawing) visited the map collection in Mills Library to examine historical and contemporary maps as reference material for the larger paintings in the show. In each instance, the students have integrated their individual artistic approaches into the work while reflecting on our local surroundings.

On exhibit until November 30, 2017
