Collaborative Print Forum: McMaster and Queen’s Collaborate on Art Workshop
Students in the BFA programs at Queen’s University and McMaster collaborated on a printmaking initiative last week that embraced camaraderie, collaboration and growth in the field of printmaking. On February 9th and 10th, students worked with McMaster printmaking professor Briana Palmer and Queen’s professor and Master printer Otis Tamasauskas to make several large scale 4′ x 8′ prints. Students used McMaster’s newly constructed large scale printing press, of which there are only a few in Canada.
On Saturday, February 11th, an exhibition of the student’s work went up in McMaster’s Studio Art program’s newly renovated space, the Fitzhenry Atrium.
